Gold Coast’s Leading Music School.

Performance Driven Lessons for Kids, Teens & Adults

Welcome to Hanlon School of Music, a performance first music school on the Gold Coast helping students build confidence, creativity and real musical ability through guitar lessons, piano lessons, drum lessons, singing lessons, bass lessons, DJ lessons, homeschool group classes and band programs.

Families across the Gold Coast choose HSM because students don’t just learn music… They learn how to perform, collaborate and express themselves.

Our structured yet fun teaching approach helps beginners start quickly while supporting advanced students to grow into confident musicians. Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to join a band program, every lesson is designed to turn learning into real world skills.

At Hanlon School of Music, music education is about confidence, culture and community, not just notes on a page.

Our experienced teachers are working musicians and educators dedicated to guiding every student’s journey. All instructors hold current Blue Cards, child CPR and First Aid certification and professional insurance. Ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment for every family.

Students walk into a space alive with music band rehearsals, performance filming, creative collaboration and confidence building happening every day.

Student Opportunities Beyond Traditional Music Lessons

We believe music education should lead to real experiences. HSM students gain opportunities that few music schools offer:

• Professionally filmed performance videos

• Mini concerts and live showcases

• Band programs teaching real ensemble skills

• Community performance opportunities

• Creative workshops and songwriting sessions

These experiences help students develop leadership, teamwork and confidence skills that last far beyond music.

Hanlon School of Music is proudly helping shape the next generation of musicians on the Gold Coast and across Australia building confident performers, creative thinkers and lifelong music lovers.

Saia & Wife, Angie Hanlon

A message from the owner.

"I created Hanlon School of Music to build the kind of place I wish existed when I was growing up. A space where kids, teens and adults could learn music in an environment that feels creative, welcoming and inspiring.

Music has always been more than just notes and songs to me. It builds confidence, focus, resilience and connection. I’ve seen firsthand how learning an instrument helps people express themselves, grow as individuals and feel part of something bigger than themselves.

Today, my biggest motivation comes from my family and from seeing the next generation walk through our doors. Every student deserves a place where they feel supported, encouraged and excited to grow through music.

Hanlon School of Music is built on community, positivity and the belief that music should be fun, empowering and accessible to everyone. We’re proud to be a local family business and grateful to every parent and student who trusts us to be part of their journey."
