HSM Were Major Sponsors of the 2023 Gold Coast Music Awards!

Hanlon School of Music had the honor of being major sponsors of the 2023 Gold Coast Music Awards, particularly focussing on the Breakout Artist of the Year Award. The 2023 Gold Coast Music Awards were held last Thursday. The award for breakout Artist of the Year was presented by Saia Hanlon (HSM owner) to Girl and Girl , a band who have been making waves on the Gold Coast music scene with their catchy pop tunes.

It was a great opportunity for the staff here at Hanlon School of Music to connect further with like-minded musicians and people within the music industry! With this strong alliance it will help bridge the gap for HSM students into the highest possible accomplishments on the Gold Coast.

The Hanlon’s and the Gold Coast Music Scene

Saia Hanlon, owner and founder of Hanlon School of Music, said that the school was proud to support emerging musicians on the Gold Coast. "We are proud to partner with the Gold Coast Music Awards because we believe in building culture and community through music..." he said.

The Hanlon family has a long history of supporting the Gold Coast music scene. The Hanlon Brothers were the first ever winners of the Breakout Artist of the Year Award, and Saia Hanlon himself is a talented musician and songwriter. And what a year for the Hanlon's as Omar Hanlon (Amy Shark’s bass player), Saia's brother was nominated and took out the award for musician of the year, after years of dedication to his music... Congrats Omar!

The Winner of Breakout Artist of the Year 2023

The 2023 Gold Coast Music Awards was a huge success, with over 500 guests in attendance. The event was a celebration of the best of the Gold Coast music scene, and it was a fitting occasion for Hanlon School of Music to present the Breakout Artist of the Year Award.

Congratulations to Girl and Girl on their win as well as all the other nominees! We're sure they're going to have a bright future in music.

Partnering with The Odyssey Drum Line

The Odyssey Drumline is a talented group of young musicians who have a passion for performing. They are known for their energetic and exciting performances, and they always put on a great show.

I'm sure it was challenging to perform in the rain, but the Odyssey Drumline rose to the occasion and delivered a spectacular performance. They are an inspiration to young musicians everywhere, and we are proud of them for representing Hanlon School of Music so well.

The rain didn't dampen the spirits of the audience either. Everyone was impressed by the Odyssey Drumline's performance, and they left the event feeling inspired and uplifted.
